The RINA supercentrifuges are vertical axis machines fitted with a hanged cylindrical bowl rotating at high speed to generate a centrifugal force that can reach 20000 xg. They are being used for the solids recovery or the removal of suspended impurities from liquids, and for the separation of non-miscible liquids of different densities.
They are characterized by a modern and sturdy design, easy to operate. All models are fitted with wide-opening hinged casing to facilitate the withdrawal of the bowl / decanter rotor from the front as perceptive according to the GMP guidelines.
The RINA SRP supercentrifuges can be designed to work in potentially explosive atmospheres, in which case they are ATEX EC certified. As well, other provisions can be equipped: cooling/heating coils, CIP and SIP devices, and controls of ancillary equipment if required by the intended application
The RINA SRP supercentrifuges have a wide field of application in the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, both for the separation and the clarification of any liquids as:
New upgrading of the RINA Clarifier Supercentrifuge fitted with AUTOMATIC DISCHARGE.
That entails quite great advantages as for the handling operation and the service of this machine:
The supercentrifuges are fed through the bowl bottom by means of a nozzle and a pump that controls the feeding flow. The suspension or mixture is displaced through the bowl up to the outlet and collected to the casing, whilst the solid (heavier), if there is, is kept into the bowl.
Two operating modes are considered:
Continuously, for the separation of two non-miscible liquids where two phases are found: a heavy phase that will occupy the outer part of the bowl, and a supernatant light phase. Each of the phases will be captured separately through a diaphragm and the proper collectors.
Batch operation, for the separation of two non-miscible liquids and a heavier solid or for the clarification of a liquid with a suspended solid content heavier in relation to the liquid. Here, the solid remains into the bowl and must be periodically removed when it fill the bowl up.

High centrifugal g factor (up to 24.000 g) solid bowl vertical centrifuges decanter centrifuges, suitable for liquid-liquid and solid-liquid separation.
When works as liquid / liquid separators operate continuously, and when they do as clarifying the cycle depends on the % of solid content that determines the time of filling the bowl.
Simplicity of operation, mechanical robustness. Treatment capacity of 5-3000 liters per hour.
